What is Trezor?

Trezor is a hardware wallet designed to store cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, Ethereum, and many others in an offline environment. Unlike software wallets or exchanges, hardware wallets are not connected to the internet, making them immune to many types of cyberattacks, such as phishing or malware. Trezor wallets come with a small screen and physical buttons, allowing users to confirm transactions in a secure and verifiable way.

Connecting Your Trezor Device

One of the most critical steps in setting up your Trezor wallet is the generation of a recovery seed. The recovery seed is a 12–24 word phrase that serves as a backup to restore your wallet in case the device is lost, stolen, or damaged. During the setup process, Trezor will display this seed on the device's screen. It is absolutely vital that you write down this phrase on paper and store it in a safe, offline location. Never store the recovery seed digitally or online, as it can be easily compromised by hackers.
